Martin started in the carpet industry in the 1980s. He began working for his father at Sunderland based business Cotton & Telfer. After his father retired he continued working in the trade supplying and carpet fitting for his own customers. Martin has built relationships with some of the best suppliers in the industry.

In 2007 Martin opened a small retail outlet in Sunderland, as business increased so did the need for the larger premises. In August 2013 Martin moved the business into a former car showroom on The Barnes Roundabout.

By the end of 2013 the need for a bigger warehouse was required so Martin opened the store at Unit 5 Spout Lane, Concord, Washington. This enabled us to stock over 50 rolls of Carpet & Vinyl. We bulk purchase all of our stock ranges to pass the discounted prices on to our customers.

In April 2015 we expanded with our third store at 22 Sea Road, Fulwell, Sunderland. This made our services and expertise more accessible to the North Side of Sunderland.
